Brief

James R. Boyle + Associates represented a high-profile executive who wished to improve the image of his digital footprint. Recent events led to an inaccurate portrayal of this person by websites that were highly ranked on search engine results pages when this executive's name was used as the keyword. The goal of this unique situation was to reduce the number of negative results on page one as much as possible.

Solution

Priority Integrated Marketing identified that while little could be done to remove or lower the existing negative sites' rankings, much could be done to improve the executive's digital footprint. A social media optimization plan was developed and a new online presence was created for the client that increased the number of websites that contained positive information. These new sites were then optimized for search engines through various tactics, such as posting keyword-optimized content to popular web properties and developing a cross-linking architecture that was easily followed by search engines.

Results

The digital footprint of the high-profile executive was optimized by Priority. Within one month, a much more accurate and positive representation of the client was found on search engine results pages. One month after implementing the optimization plan, five new positive Web sites had replaced a number of negative results on page one of the Google search engine results page. Additionally, nine new positive sites were listed within the first two pages.
